Have you Ever Flipped Creamers?

I’m fortunate to have many crazy friends to do things with here in Asheville and in Boone. I appreciate and love all of these wonderful people in my life. It’s what brings me joy.

There is one girl in particular who is off the charts! Ken and I met this girl in Boone through a mutual friend of ours about 13 years ago. For some strange reason we felt like we wanted to get to know her better. Ken called her out of the blue one day and invited her to join us for lunch. There we sat in the restaurant having coffee for the very first time. We were talking about meditation, spirituality, and life. A bit heavy for our first visit.

I casually asked her if she had ever flipped creamers before and she said no. Well, of course I was going to show her what she’d been missing all of these years. Within one minute the three of us started flipping creamers. We had a contest to see who could flip the most and have them land upright. Then one landed in her coffee cup. Kersplat! I know it’s one of those “You Had to Be There” moments but the three of us laughed until we cried. I knew I had found my bookend. I totally get her and she gets me.

We have the same funny bone, we look at life the same way and something happens when we get together that is unexplainable.

Cheers to good friends and joy!
