My Glue Gun
Don’t you find that some ridiculous things bring you joy?
I’ve wanted a glue gun for years.I’m not really the crafty type and I don’t generally fix things. Why would I want a glue gun? I think I must have seen Martha Stewart using one during her show or something. I’ve always wanted to be a Martha Stewart type. Yes, I’ll make little flower baskets out of old shoes,make bird feeders out of lampshades,refinish old toilets, whatever. The fact is, I’m not a Martha Stewart at all so why would I want a glue gun?
I think my friend Rene’ used a glue gun too-she was the crafty girl so maybe it’s her fault.
Yesterday Ken and I were out and I spotted the glue gun. Ken was so supportive and convinced me to buy it. Wow- my first glue gun. I am overjoyed as it sits here on my dining room table in the package. I guess I’ll move it down to the basement and hope for something to show up that needs gluing. I have a feeling it may stay in the package in the basement for a few years but that’s ok. I got my GLUE GUN! The joy it brings me by its sheer presence. Got anything that needs gluing?

I like listening to the rain while taking a nap. It’s almost meditative and takes me away from the cluster of THINGS going on in my head. I feel at peace yet joyful at the same time.
MMMM- I agree. Add a few birds chirping into the equation and it’s lovely.
