Watch and Be Inspired!

Each morning I look for articles, pod casts or you tubes to inspire me or get me motivated. Sometimes I look for animal stories or human interest stories just to make me smile. What a great way to bring joy into your world. There are plenty of sad and disturbing events shown on the news […]

Do You Have A Blind Spot When It Comes To Seeing Your Own Value?

We are so caught up in all of our old mindsets and beliefs that we’ve picked up over the years, that it clouds our greatness. We all have so much to offer we just can’t see it.

Are You Afraid Boredom Will Ruin Your Marriage?

I decided to make this morning a little different. Before my husband was completely awake I started singing. The first song that came to my mind was “Spanish Flea” by Herb Albert and The Tijuana Brass. Don’t ask me why that stupid song popped into my head, but it did. I suggest you you tube it if you don’t know it. It will give you a good idea of how funny I looked and sounded lying on my back looking up at the ceiling singing this song.

I Just Caught My Husband Watching

The other night I came downstairs to the funniest sight. My dashing husband was dressed in his hip jeans, awesome shirt, a snappy suit jacket, sitting in a chair watching the Lawrence Welk Show. I was going out for the evening with a girl friend but I had to stop in my tracks to take notice of this strange phenomenon. I started to laugh out loud. Within minutes we were both laughing hysterically.

Laughter Is The Outward Expression Of Joy

There we were in my uncles kitchen. My mother, uncle, cousins and nephews. Ken and I started to sing a little Irish ditty that someone had taught us years ago and off to the races we went with hysteria. We laughed and laughed.

Come See Me When I’m Alive Not When I’m Dead

My mother who is eighty seven years young has a great philosophy on life. She told me “If you care about me, come see me while I’m alive, not when I’m dead.” I’ve always taken that statement to heart. If we really care about the people we say we love, doesn’t it make sense to call them once in a while? Perhaps send them a little gift now and then? Or better yet, pay them a visit when you can. I know it’s hard to find the time and in this economy money may be an issue.

The Gas Fairies!

Halfway up the parkway I noticed the gas gauge had moved drastically and the gas light had already come on. We still had a 30 minute drive and there were no gas stations any where near us. We kept going and I kept thinking……”This is not good, I hope we can make it home.”

What I Learned From The April Fools Prank (Part 2)

I know that for me……life is about the experiences not the outcome. I felt a bit disappointed that I wouldn’t be going to Hollywood, not because I wanted to be a big star or be in a movie. I was looking forward to the experience of going, being open to whatever happens and just enjoying each moment of the entire process. Instead, I experienced the joy and hysteria of being totally had with an April Fools Day prank. Sharing the joke with my friends, screaming on the phone about the fact that the whole thing was a joke and I fell for it. We spent hours talking about it. The joke was on them too and they were all good sports.

April Fools Prank (Part 1)

It was a very vague letter so I knew right then that my husband had pulled an April Fools joke on me. He said no, it wasn’t an April Fools joke and showed me the emails return address which was from this agency in Beverly Hills. He worked very hard at making everything look legitimate. He had the logo, he had a phone number which was real, he had Lois Goldman as the Senior Artistic Director who I looked up and sure enough she lived in Beverly Hills, he had the address, he worded things like an agent would. Everything made sense.

I Could Use A Cookie!!

I pulled in her driveway, clipped my wad of car keys to the outside of my purse as I always do, opened the car door, locked it and before I got out of the car, I thought, I don’t really need my purse, I’ll leave it in the car. Just as I closed the door I knew it was too late. Boom, the door shut and sure enough the door locked with my keys and purse on the floorboard in my car. Crap!
